2022 is a big year for anniversaries. Not only is it the 75th anniversary of the 'TVR' brand name, and the 70th anniversary of the Queen's coronation, but it also marks the 30th anniversary of a legend.

In 1992, the Chimaera was first revealed to the world at the NEC Motor Show. And as you may have noticed, here at Pub2Pub, we rather like the Chimaera. So, between the 14th and the 20th May 2022, we're going to pull out all the stops to celebrate this unveiling of TVR's most successful-ever product.  We're currently still shaping the final plan for this event, but allow me to share with you our current vision:

It's mid May, 2022. For several days, a group of TVR owners have been staying in a chateau in France, exploring the local area in their thunderous steeds, following a pleasant convoy-drive out to the venue. In the grounds of the chateau, a garden-party atmosphere prevails, as so many like-minded TVR owners come together to celebrate not only the TVR anniversaries, but the Queen's Jubilee as well, which is also taking place in May. Union Jack bunting flutters in the breeze, Pimm's is being poured, the wine is on ice and the grounds of the chateau are filled with sun-dappled lines of the finest fibreglass steeds ever seen. New friendships are being formed between like-minded TVR people, old friendships rekindled, memories made. The New Normal never felt so good.

So, that's my initial thinking for the Chimaera Jubilee; a multi-day stay in a French Chateau, celebrating all that is great about these fine British cars.

​

While this event is aimed primarily at Chimaera owners, if owners of other TVRs wish to join, they'll be more then welcome - we're all one big happy family, after all.
