Time Flies When You're Having Fun...

It really does. Days. Years. Or even, in our case, whole decades.

Yep. Summer 2027 marks a whole ten years since we fired up Kermit and set off on the Pub2Pub Expedition, our 27,000-mile trip across the globe. And of course, from that expedition grew the adventures we enjoy today.
But while Pub2Pub may have started with a small group of friends and supporters setting off into the unknown in a TVR, it’s certainly morphed into something more substantial today. Because ten years on, Pub2Pub isn’t merely a road trip; it’s a community. A group of fun-loving, like-minded folk who enjoy nothing more than setting off on a European drive with other Pub2Pubbers. A group of people like you, in fact.
Because let’s face it, without you, and those like you, Pub2Pub would be nothing.
And that would be a real shame. So, we’d like to use our tenth anniversary as an opportunity to say thank you, through the medium of the road trip. A really special one.
Now, given that the Pub2Pub story started with a pretty epic road trip, we’ve decided the tenth anniversary tour needs to be pretty epic, too. And we also decided the number ten needs to make an appearance. So, in June we’re going to invite you to celebrate in style, with a journey which will take us to ten different countries, in its first ten days on the road. And around that plan, you can expect a more-than-generous sprinkling of Pub2Pub gold. Yep, we’re digging deep to really make this a tour to remember.
So, what should you expect to find lingering in your memory for years afterwards?
Well, if you’ve been on a Pub2Pub tour before, you’ll know we take great pride in digging out the unexpected to populate the itinerary. And this trip is no exception. Let's kick off with the German Elvis Museum, and a bar with a décor based around the ‘Alien’ films, which serves themed drinks to match. Then there are the dams targeted in the famous Dambuster raids, a railway which tunnels through the heart of the Eiger to a station 3,500 metres up, and the waterfall where Sherlock Holmes final duel took place. There are awesome roads and alpine passes which we’ve never driven before, and a whole smorgasbord of car culture, from the Matra museum to Germany’s world-class Loh collection, and slightly randomly, a Mazda museum in Augsburg, too. There are chateaus, mushroom caves, Italian lakes, and the particle accelerator at CERN. And as you’d expect, there’s a sprinkling of James Bond, too, from the dam which everyone’s favourite secret agent jumps off at the start of Goldeneye, to the high-tech mountaintop lab which plays a starring role in Spectre.
Oh, and in case that lot hasn’t won you over, we’ve also found a thimble museum in Bavaria, too. Because who hasn’t dreamed of visiting such a place?

But so far, so Pub2Pub. All our tours are backed up with an itinerary which lets you choose from all manner of the weird and wonderful attractions to be found en-route. But we’re going to take things up a notch or two this time around, with some special new additions to the trip. To touch on just a couple of these, firstly we’re planning to include the first-ever Pub2Pub track day in the schedule. And to finish the trip, we’ll be heading to one of our favourite chateaus for a couple of nights, finishing with a rather spiffing sit-down meal, followed by a stand-up party, to mark the occasion.
Yep, as you can see, we’re pulling out all the stops with this one – ten different countries in ten days is only the start to the awesomeness. Which is just as well really, as the 10th Anniversary Tour is a 15-day trip.
We’re hoping to get as many of you wonderful folk as possible along on this one, and really bring the Pub2Pub community together for an unforgettable road trip which will be talked about for the whole of the decade that follows. So, if you’d like to be part of this unique celebration of the past decade, drop us a message at ben@pub2pubadventures.com
